Hempiness Organic Hemp 1inch/2.5cm Strapping

Made from 100% Organic Hemp, we also love to use this strapping for belts, dog collars and leashes, as reinforcement for furniture such as sofas or chairs, and as a material for edging on rugs. This strapping is slightly thicker than our webbing and comes with a different weave too, so the choice between them may depend slightly on the project you intend on using it for. Hemp is incredibly tough, with the highest tensile strength of any natural plant fibre, and when it is weaved into strapping such as this, the end results is an ultra-tough durable textile.

As you can probably tell, we’re mad about hemp, and this strapping is 100% organic hemp. Hemp demands less water than alternative natural materials, and requires absolutely no pesticide, herbicide or chemical fertilizer in its production and is 100% biodegradable. It’s also a natural carbon sink, meaning that it is brilliant at capturing CO2 from the atmosphere and trapping it, and is able to grow in soil where other crops can’t, whilst leaving the earth better and more fertile than the day it was planted!
